CAAD 10 63cm

Great build. Also great bike.
Do you have any descending experience on the bike yet? I've got a friend in the market for a new bike - CAAD10 or Super Six in 63cm. He was going to go with the Super Six since reading a review by Leonard Zinn saying that one thing he liked about the Super Six was that there was no high speed shimmy going on in the head tube, which you can usually find in frames of that size. The new CAAD 10s have a tapered head tube but wondering if that eliminates any shimmy, or if you need the tapered head tube and deeper section that is found on the Super Six to eliminate it?
Thanks for your thoughts..

Thanks for the compliments, I have a few planned upgrades to my build. Some are currently in shipping while others are backordered for a while. In regards to the handling and feel of the bike, I know what you mean about large frame sizes not always being that solid. I was really surprised by how excellent this frame rides. Descending is a dream. The tapered head tube makes handling fell really solid. I know someone with a 2010 63cm Hi-mod Supersix that has similar things to say. I would say that obviously you're going to get the stiffer more responsive ride with the SuperSix but with the Evo right around the corner I would recommend holding out if possible and maybe doing a CAAD 10 while he waits.

Thats awesome. Great build. I would love to see some of the reactions you get when people pick up such a big alloy bike and realise its lighter then there carbons.

I'm jealous. My 56 weighs more than your 63
Specialized Allez 06' "Rain Bike" 21.50lbs
Neuvation F100 11' "Road Bike" 16.80lbs

I was stunned this came in as light as it did. I was calculating a much heavier bike. The Madfiber wheels are really something else! Going to switch out the rear derailleur, shift/brake levers and the crankset. That should knock off nearly 100g. I could easily knock off another 100g by getting a carbon bar but I rather like the idea of going with an aluminum cockpit and keeping as much aluminum on the bike as I can. It is after all a CAAD frame.
Hollowgram is here! 550g for 53/39 MK V rings with 175 arms
FSA 50/34 chainrings come in at 202g
Cannondale MK V 53/39 chainrings come in at 175g
I think I'll use the FSA chainrings for the time being. I think the 27g weight penalty is worth better shifting performance plus a little extra help in the hills.

My CAAD10 is feeling so inadequate!

Have you used that crankset yet? How does it feel?

The Hollowgram crankset is amazing. The arms are incredibly stiff. It really feels like all of your power is going right into the drivetrain. The FSA rings are a big step up from the Sram Red rings. They make shifting so much crisper and cleaner. Not to mention the big weight savings. Cannondale is on top of their game. I can't imagine having a better set-up. I think I'll always have to have a BB30 bike just so I can use this crankset.
With the Hollowgram crankset installed the bike now come in at 6.48kg. Only 130g to go before I can get under 14lbs!
