I've setup 42t front and 11-46 rear on my new bike
The chain is huge and as a result it sounds a little rough on the 11t so im wondering if a wolftooth goatlink 11 might help?
Im using a xt di2 rear derraileur

I think a goatlink would just make the gearing worse. That's what I noticed with a Roadlink on my Red Etap setup.

I'm running a similar setup with the wolflink on my 1x Di2 Open UP. I use a 10-42 rear cassette though. I didn't try this setup without the wolflink though so I can't say how much it changes the noise. My setup shifts great and I've been very happy with it.

Which crankset, chainrings and BB do you use?

@d36 pics with chain on big and small rings? how did you measure the chain? big+big+2?
Yeah standard big big measurement for the chain
I went for my first proper ride today and noticed that 1 random cassette cog is also bit jumpy
Its a ztto 11-46 cassette so could actually be the cassette
I have a 46t front arriving in a couple of days I can pair with a 11-42
Chain length should be the same so I should be able to compare shift quality pretty quickly

I run an Easton EC90 SL with a wheels mfg bottom bracket. The rings I’ve used are the 40 and 44 tooth Easton’s.

Thanks!
And do you use an Ultegra RX (with the Roadlink?) or a XT/XTR derailleur?

Bit of a late reply but i've got my wolflink and also tried using a shimano 11-42 cassette
I've narrowed it down to the ztto cassette being the problem - it just doesnt shift nicely onto the 11 tooth
