When connected to a Garmin Edge 130? Just wondering for indoor trainer use and outdoor use where GPS signal is not good.
I know it will do speed, just curious if the Garmin will track distance from this as well.
Will a Wahoo hub speed sensor give both speed and distance...

Provided the 130 has provision to read from external sensors, then yes.
wahoo broadcast ant+ and BT, so no issues there.
Distance is a function of time and speed, so yes it will display that for you as long as you have your garmin running.

The 130 can pair up to Ant devices. I’ve only ever used a power meter with it, but it should pair up to this.
I just didn’t know if the Garmin used just speed to calculate distance, or if speed and distance were calculated from the GPS signal. But it makes sense that it should work with the Wahoo speed sensor.
