Is that Giant TCR a prototype. The downtube is round and the headtube is HUUUGE.

DT Swiss uses the same hub, yes. But, they will have to make a new free hub body for Shimano 11 (if shimano changes the length as expected). This is because the existing magic free hub is longer than it needs to be for shimano 10 speed. That is why they include a spacer to use on their shimano wheels. So, a wider shimano cassette will work just fine on their existing wheels.

I understand that, I just meant that the hubs shell is the same, so it would be fairly easy for DTswiss to make a new body

Shimano has used plastics for its adjustors for a long time. Unless you're talking about the structural portions ?

But interesting new caliper designs. Looks like a hybrid between a dual pivot and a cam-roller though. :o

the brake looks like they moved the barrel adjuster-arm from the center pivot to its own offset pivot. now the center mounting bolt has no pivot. the barrel adjuster-arm also seems to be two pieces, probably to allow for fine tuning of pad centering left/right. looks nice, more balanced mechanically than current dual pivot brakes.

maxxevv,

it looks like that the almost everything but the barrel adjuster-arm, could be a composite of some type..

Just the finish left on the aluminum after it is cold forged.

That is the 2012 Giant Defy Advanced SL which I think is slated for use for several of the the spring classics.

the dogma with da9000 has a bb30 crank. yes, shimano is making a bb30 crank. and pinarello is making a bb30 dogma.
the crank has been confirmed by a shimano guy. probably some news release about it soon, or he wouldnt have given it up so easily.
hint: on the rear derailleur pic, zoom in on the crank/bb area. big bb, but not wide, NO EXTERNAL CUPS, spider is essentially inboard of the outer ring due to all the interior space.

What do you think we can expect concerning pricepoint, with the new DA9000?
