I know... I'm still skeptical that a sleeve will stop wear and tear. Carbon surfaces dont like any friction. Would be cool if Elilee did some testing and showed us what the spindle looks like after a simulation of 20,000km of riding. Maybe its not an issue, but if its got a realistic life of say 15,000km then its not worth it. OTH maybe you're right and the sleeves save the spindle from a slow death.

They already do a 24mm version. Are you saying another different version?RDY wrote:Elilee are teasing a new 24mm spindle design for the new year. Crank arm looks different to the Novanta-X, but it appears it's going to be a super light 24mm option.

This will be the ultimate crankset for BB86 frames.

So,latin for a "three hundred" gram (arms and spindle).
Only if the price is competitive. SRAM Red Dub is still the best value and 4030 bearings work perfectly fine.aeroisnteverything wrote: ↑Wed Dec 27, 2023 8:48 pmThis will be the ultimate crankset for BB86 frames.
this crankset is targeted at shimano users who are upset how heavy dura-ace/ultegra chainsets weigh.
i hope this Elilee is simple plug/play installation . no silly spacers required.

What do you mean by "silly spacers"? There are no spacers involved and I swap BBs anyway because most bikes come with cheap cups. Whether I get 24mm or 30mm makes no difference.spartan wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2023 4:59 pmthis crankset is targeted at shimano users who are upset how heavy dura-ace/ultegra chainsets weigh.
