Hi,
My first post here, I had a Giant TCR for many years so didn't really have anything different to share. I recently bought a Factor One aero bike and wanted to share the not so light weight build of mine. As you can see below the frame is quite heavy but there are no real options to add lightweight components such as handlebar, seatpost etc.
Even the Hunt wheels I bought were 100grams over their claimed weight.

Frame (No BB) 1120g (1270g with BB and hanger)
Fork 420g (550g with mounting hardware and bearings)
Handlebar/Stem 380g
Seat Tube 210g

Hunt 50mm Clincher wheels Including Hub, no skewers
Front: 760g
Rear: 880g
Total: 1640g (Claimed 1530g inc skewers)

I started the build at 6pm and took it for a quick spin fully built by midnight although I have spent a lot of time since getting the bike setup for me. I have the R8000 DI2 groupset but with Dura Ace crankset and Dura Ace direct mount brakes. Running Schwalbe Pro One 25mm tubeless setup with approx 80ml of sealant and the total buildweight without pedals is 7.5kg
It rides really brilliantly, I'm very surprised how smooth and comfortable it is compared to the Giant TCR. Whereas the TCR is skittish over bumps and rough tarmac this thing glides straight over without fuss. To be honest the weight is bothering me a bit, I thought about getting the Factor O2 VAM and trying to get it down to 6.3kg but it looked a bit boring.

This is a rare frameset. There will probably never be anything like it, split DT and that fork / HT arrangement.
How's the ride feel?

Regarding those Hunt wheels, why didn't you return them?
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Looks like we are the same size, 52cm? A lighter saddle and wheels would get me down to 7.4kg. How do you find that Fabric saddle?

I should have sent them back. I'm in South Africa so the cost and hassle to send them back to the UK wasn't feasible. They also required a heck of a lot of time adjusting the spokes to get them straight. I'm on the look out for a pair of Giant SLR 0 42mm wheels instead.
The ride is really fantastic, I'm very happy with the bike. I heard they steer really fast/nervous but I have found it is very planted and solid compared to my old 2018 TCR Pro 0

It's funny, some guys buy cheaper wheels for an expensive bike and some do the opposite.
I would be annoyed of those wheels. But i do understand shipping fee must be an arm and a leg.
I just read of a guy having both Factor One and Look Blade RS. It seems the Factor is very stiff and Blade have a better ride feel.
However, that's subjective. I think it's a unique frameset

With regards to cheap/expensive wheels... I didn't really see much advantage when shopping for more expensive wheels. The Hunts are listed at 1530g for about £850. I didn't know of anything that was significantly lighter for more money but I did find heavier 50mm wheels that were more expensive. I also almost see them as 'consumables' and easily damaged when racing so to spend over £1500 doesn't work for me.

How much did you pay for the frameset?

My Schmolke TLO 45, Carbon Ti hubs, CX-Ray spokes is 1253g.

Wow, your wheels really are light. Are they tubeless compatible?

I considered it but it looked a bit boring in comparison BUT I didn't know the One was going to be so heavy. I really will be looking to build a bike around the 6.2kg mark in the future. After all, I live half way up a monster climb so I can never avoid the steep stuff

Yes, they are. I went for custom build over factory built. I didn't want Tune hubs and not Extralite.
On paper, this wheelset should be 1220 grams. But real weight is 1253 g.

The TL rims uses T800 carbon and the TLO rims uses T1000 carbon. Ofcourse i felt the urge going for TLO.
I don't feel a need for deeper rims as i think the effect is not positive when it's swirl winds.
Most of the time, it's swirl winds overhere.
This is a rim brake wheelset. My other is Ax Lightness Premium 38T (tubular). This set is only 1010 grams.

How do you find the braking on the TLO 45 rim? - I have the same wheel in disc with extralites and same spokes. I enjoy them very much and the cross winds never bother me, so I have wondered about the rim version too....
Lots of bikes: currently riding Enve Melee, Krypton Pro, S Works Crux, S Works Epic Evo, SL7.
In build: SW SL8
