Other than cutting the seat tube to length and eyeing up that silly seat mount bolt with the large diameter collar for finger adjustment as I am going to turn it down to the actual bolt diameter. Oh yeah I drilled a 2.5mm hole to thread and mount a Garmin Radar on the flat side rear.

Yeah guess chopping the lower excess is one of the few things possible to do.
I was just curious if it would be possible to use something like these parts.

So how much is safe to leave below the point where the clamp is around the seatpost?? 3 vs 5 vs 10 cms?LewisK wrote:I chopped the excess off the bottom, not sure there’s much more you can do than that. Saved 19grams

Many frames will have a lug where the ST,TT, and the chain stays come together and if you look down inside the seat tube you will see a step where the lug ends(larger ID at that point) and the seat tube continues to the BB. I always make sure that my seat post inserts to that spot as there is no more support for the seat post any further. The minimum insertion mark should also give you a good idea. Just measure from that mark to the end of the uncut post and be sure you have that same distance from where the post is clamped to where you cut it.

I’ve left 8.5 cm’s.
I’m fairly light at 61kg and there is about 18cm of exposed seat post (not inc saddle).
I have found that Darimo is about to make a 95 g seatpost compatible with Colnago C64, so it should work for V2R also. So there is a 110 g difference in weight

From the looks on Darimo's website it certainly looks like 0 offset. Pretty unusual clamping system with loop tie downs, curious how well it works, anybody have any experience with it ?
Does anyone know how available Colnago's own 0 offset post are ?

Just got a reply back from Darimo that I sent on April 19. They are going to start production of C64 seatpost in a week and about 4 weeks to shipping once production starts. Can ANYONE confirm for sure that the C64 seat post is the same as V2,V3.
