Shimano site indicates 9270 C50 wheels came with E-Thru Axle technology and the 'axle fixing method' is 12mm E-Thru. Can someone tell me what does this mean? Do I need different thru-axle to fit these wheels on my frame (142x12) and Enve road fork? Both already came with 'factory' TA. Thanks.
Every TA that’s 12mm and fit for your frame will do.ipenguinking wrote:Shimano site indicates 9270 C50 wheels came with E-Thru Axle technology and the 'axle fixing method' is 12mm E-Thru. You can send your crank for factory install, I did it with my 9200 left crank (at 4iiii) and it took about two weeks overall.
The readings are very close to my Neo 2T once calibrated
E-Thru is Shimano's tool-less thru axle design which has a cammed lever that works like a traditional QR to lock the axle in place. While the diameter of the thru axles are the same, I think Shimano e-thru axles have a 1.5 mm thread pitch so if that is different than your frames current thru-axles, then the E-Thru would not be compatible.TurboKoo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 6:19 amEvery TA that’s 12mm and fit for your frame will do.ipenguinking wrote:Shimano site indicates 9270 C50 wheels came with E-Thru Axle technology and the 'axle fixing method' is 12mm E-Thru. But mounting the tire with TA that works with the frame should be ok right? Just as TurboKoo said.ms6073 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 4:56 pmE-Thru is Shimano's tool-less thru axle design which has a cammed lever that works like a traditional QR to lock the axle in place. I'm in Switzerland and I saw the option for R9200 since November 2021, it seems available on the UK site too : https://4iiii.com/gb/products/pdp/left- ... y-install/Sanders2177 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:30 pmOk where in the world are youIanisCercariolo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 9:13 amYou can send your crank for factory install, I did it with my 9200 left crank (at 4iiii) and it took about two weeks overall.
