Hi!

How mini v-brakes can be compared with dual-pivot calipers in terms of modulation and braking power?
I have a very interesting offer for carbon frame. But this frame accept only TT-style v-brakes (under BB).

Thanks for advance!

Mini V brakes can be extremely powerful. The most powerful brakes I have ever felt (new pad and new rim), matching disc brakes for stopping power with light finger effort. However modulation is a challenge and requires a skillful touch. Those who are talented will get used to them immediately. I have used them with both Sram and Shimano levers and they have always been excellent. They are difficult to set up - getting the pad to contact the rim perfectly takes some work.
