I have seen Hi-Mod Dura-Ace being sold for as little as $7700 which makes it a really interesting proposition at this point.
I guess they have not been selling as well as Cannondale would have hoped.

Not a fan of weaved carbon either, always looks like a cosmetic pattern to 'look' carbon like we were still in 2003! But I can't say that the switchplate is big enough to bother me much (I have less though as I use the Di2 plate on my Evo)... But you could easily paint it black... or match the frame depending of the color.
danridesbikes: Not sure about the size but same as Shimano or a millimeter less

Can anyone tell me how easy it would be to either switch chainrings on the crankset, or swap out the standard chainset for an Ultegra crank (will it need any adapter or new BB cups?).
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

and the 50t was super cheap

I have my systemsix on the trainer, just using Elite Thru-Axle Adaptor for Cycle Trainers for 25 euros. No need to hassle with RD hanger. It's design is not nice, but acceptable for inbood usage.DamonRinard wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 12:05 amHi gwilson,
Glad you like your SystemSix!
The axle you linked won't work, because Speed Release axles are M12x1 double-lead thread, while most trainer axles are single lead. (The double lead is what makes Speed Release twice as fast to install: half the turns.)
But there's a workaround. Install this RD hanger, Cannondale part number KP419/, and the axle you linked seems like it should work.

This hanger, originally designed for Slate and Beast of the East, has single lead threads, so it fits the trainer axle. One nuance is the rear hub axle sometimes jams on the hanger's inside boss, but slip it past and it works.
As usual, be sure the trainer axle fits the left dropout as well. Speed Release is flat, while some others have a cone.
Cheers,
Damon
