BMC SLR01 Team Disc or SL6 Tarmac Disc...
Moderator: robbosmans
I have only seen the BMC in person since the tarmac disc isn't out yet. Looks super clean and nicely done from an aesthetic point of view with the way they route the cables under the stem. Comes with a hefty price tag though. The new tarmac's look great as well. Which would you guys pick?

Though they both have something in common(for example small rear triangle), new BMC SLR01 looks beautiful to me but new Tarmac SL6 doesn't. but Tarmac has more variable color option. Black/Grey/White or Pink/Purple/Black Camo paint frame looks quite good, I think. Anyway, If I have a chance to choose between them, I would pick BMC.
BMC would be my choice

i'm still leaning toward Tarmac Disc. I already have a Red Cervelo....don't need another red bike. It appears that is everyone's favorite for the BMC.
I also like the way the cammo paint looks on the Tarmac non disc. I wonder if it will be available for the disc version.

I rented the SLR01 in Tenerife to ride up to the volcano and felt uncomfortable coming down the hill. I was very disappointed about that. A feeling I don't have on my Cervelo so another reason a lean toward the Tarmac.
the first time you rode a bike downhill is like the first time you drive a car in the mountains. You have to get used to it.queloque67 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:04 pmI rented the SLR01 in Tenerife to ride up to the volcano and felt uncomfortable coming down the hill. wasn't the first time...it was a first time on that bike. I also rode a 1996 Trek downhill in the pre-alps in Italy that Lance Armstrong rode back in the day last year and was more aggressive down hill on that bike than the BMC. Just didn't work for me. Not a slam on the bike, just didn't work for me like other bikes have.rossjm11 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 3:30 pmthe first time you rode a bike downhill is like the first time you drive a car in the mountains.
