anyway, back to a non-superlight related topic, I just saw the new FSA crank in the QBP catalogue at my onld shop...I don't know retail, but wholesale was $340, so probably add about 40%.

I don't know, sometimes things that will be available later in the year are listed in the QBP, it might have had an availability date, but I didn't see it.

460 grams sounds very good - 45g less than my superlight i just got a few months ago, i just hope they are as stiff as the current models and that its not a compromise

i am really intrested in the outer bearings, see what change they make, if any.

This new FSA K-Force carnkset has a new construction which do away any aluminum spine and hence it's much lighter. Should be in store around Mar and officially lauch at coming Taipei Cycle Show. Good news for compact lovers, K-Force will be available in 110mm compact but date of release not confirmed.

The K-Force Compact Crankset has model code: CK-888EC. Picture of this crankset is not out yet. It's still under development process and Tien Hsin will not market it in the near future.

As for FSA USA, everything listed on official website will be available and ready for sale. However products shown on Tien Hsin catalgoue can be products that are a year ahead, therefore FSA USA was not able to disclose them since these items are still under development.

For information on products that are not ready for official launch it's better to get information from Tien Hsin Taiwan.

... The original set (34-50) weights 130gr!!!
I have changed with Stronghlight's Chain Rings.
The new set (36-50) weights only 110gr!!!
Now my cranksets weights only 502gr!!!!!

Very nice!! Someone else mentioned that the FSA rings are not so durable, either. And you have 50/36 now....
Delpi, you prefer Stronglight rings over TA or Tiso?

@Millen: A year or more is too long to wait...I just wish the Pro Elite Compact had a better looking spider: I don't like that milled spider with all the laminations exposed.

When i will climb Monte Zoncolan probably i will use the chainring with 34
Teeth.

Gilberto Simoni (after RIP Pantani probably the best italian climber) used this combination: 39-30 (!!)

... and he climbed the Zoncolan Mountain from the easier side

I have never used the TA rings.
I have used Tiso Rings (53-39) but they are too much "heavy".
(... Campagnolo Chainrigs are lightest.)

Stronglight rings should be the lightest one but i have to test them (If they are they stiff and durable)

Are you sure the pros did the Zoncolan from the easier side in the Giro. I thought there were parts from 20%

Back to the Fsa K-Force when will they arrive??? will they be as stiff as their current cranks or perhaps stiffer. would be great if they reduced weight and made them stronger
