I just want to give a feedback on the new winter booties from Assos:
https://www.assos.com/assosoires-bootie ... &color=113

Image

I had these on Saturday for the 1st time and they were really great!
Temperature between 1C and 5C for 4 hours. Really nice and warm!

At that time of the year (I mean with these temperatures) I usually use the Assos Winterbooties S7 or a combo with Assos Neopren toe covers and Assos Belgian booties.
First I was quite skeptical that these thin overshoes will be ok but they were!
You just have to be careful when you put these on as they don't have any zips.

In overall as warm as the former Winterbooties S7 but lighter and less bulky.
Bravo Assos!

When the temperature will raise a little bit (as from 7C) I will try the new Fall/Spring booties.
I suppose they are as great as the winter booties.

I however have to admit that I do like the look of the belgian bootie (as I am an "old fashioned" road biker.....).

Do you put them on before the shoes?
Do you wear them over or under the tights?

Can someone share their experience with both Equipe Evo and Cento Evo SS jerseys? I have the former in M, nice close fit without being true racing tight (~150 lbs, 5'11''). Want to try the Cento Evo and I want to have the same fit as my Equipe (not tighter), is S the right size or would that be tigher than I'd like? Thanks.

P.S. @RTW, from earlier posts I see you have both, would love to hear your thoughts.
I would suggest that you try the same size in the Cento Evo as the Equipe Evo. The materials in the Cento Evo have more stretch in them, and therefore are more accomodating for a larger figure, while working fine with 'climbers' too.

^@RTW: The Sturmprinz rain jacket is still rS.Sturmprinz, officially. rS = rain Shell I presume.

Suggestion: Rename it 113 Rain Jacket (with Sturmprinz written on the left arm to please us few).
I wish product names were within my power!

@TonyM

Great to hear regarding the winter bootie. I may have to try one out. I don’t like the bulky booties but haven’t found thinner ones that actually work in the winter.

As far as putting them on, I put on the difficult to fit booties in the shoes prior to putting them on my feet. I had to do that with some Rapha booties since they wouldn’t go on when I had the shoes on already.

I'm still non the wiser what the differences are between the T.Cento and Cento Evo bib shorts are? - Same retail price, except one appears more discounted in places.. does that mean that one is a newer version than the other?
Cento Evo is the newer version. The changes are mostly aesthetic, but the main difference is that at the front, the top of the short has a raw edge (treated, to prevent fraying). This isn't the case on the older Cento.

What is this “treatment” that keeps these what otherwise appear to be unfinished edges from fraying? My experience with those kinds of edges is that, even if they don’t end up fraying, they just kind of roll up at the edges and gone is that nice “crisp” line that I’ve come to associate with nice edges.

In my experience this depends a lot on the fabric, the amount of compression, and sadly the riders age, body fat and what have you. No rollup on the lazer cut sleeves on my ss.Campionissimojersey_evo7. Terrific jersey by the way. I love the integrated base layer on the front, but it would have been nice if the neck was a bit stretchier.

I guess I will have to try it... the shorts/bibs still have a proper edge/gripper material don’t they?

Thanks. So are you saying Cento Evo and Equipe Evo are quite similar in cut, but the main difference in fit comes from the fact that Cento Evo has more stretch in fabric (while Equipe has more compression) so that it 'feels' less tight on the body? My chest measures ~37'' if that makes any difference in sizing.

Question about jersey construction. Can one consider lasercut sleeves as a pure upgrade to rawcut (no fraying)? Or am I oversimplifying here?

Also: Is it true that the Campionissimo jersey basically stopped existing as far as the 2019 lineup goes? Replaced by the aero jersey?
