I still use some & am always amazed
For me actually easier than Boa's + if I need to use shoe covers waaaay better

My last shoes with Velcro were Prolight Techlace. I wore them every day and the loops wore out completely after 3 years. Boa ratchets wear out too, but they take much longer to do so.

Agree 100% - this looks terrible. I hate the use of gold, why not do something with the olympic rings rather than tacky gold.

I've had Time, Carnac, and Shimano shoes that lasted for years and years. I never wore out a velcro strap. I must have got the crappy Boas on my S-Works shoes (Boa S2) because they seem to wear about after about a year. I can rotate the dials and get another six months out of them as the tops wear faster than the bottoms.
