Hoping to see a stage or two of the Tour de France this summer. Where can I find detailed maps of the route? I can't find anything detailed on the official site or anywhere else.
Relatedly, any hints on being on the mountain climb when the riders go through? How early do I need to be there, etc. I was interested in Stage 15, Grand Colombier.
Other trick is that I will need to get from Lyon to Grand Colombier. Its about a 2 hour drive, but I'm not particularly interested in renting a car. Are there tour shuttles...is that a thing? Would I need to reserve a shuttle? Don't feel like I need a Tour package that I see advertised, just need a ride.

You can go from Lyon (Lyon Part dieu station) to Culoz by train, it takes one hour : https://en.oui.sncf/en/ , 19 euros one way and 28,4 return. Maybe cheaper if you book in advance.
From there you can walk , it's 5 kms to the most spectacular part (Lacets du Grand Colombier).
You can ask the tourist information https://bugeysud-tourisme.fr/en/useful- ... st-office/ if there is a shuttle (navette) going to the climb, I don't think so but there was one last year going to the Planche des belles filles (free and locally operated).
I would go as early as possible, it's going to be very crowded especially because the road is quite narrow .

I don't know exactly , I'm afraid not soon , probably may or june .
Paris-Nice is 2 month away and I don't see any detailed maps yet.
