Did today’s Tour Stage just prove that disc brakes on road bikes are a manufactured marketing sham?

Dumoulin is probably going to win next year. Since Sunweb is goin to Cervelo in 2019, we might have the first TDF winner on disk brakes.

1st stage everyone had disc brakes, later in the stages less riders had disc brakes to a point where I had trouble trying to find a rider with disc brakes. Some trek bikes have a direct brake mount which is really cool. Its completely aero, and the modulation feels like a disc brake super powerful. Manufactures should move towards that brake technology. Lighter the better, keep road bikes lighter.
