First thing I did of course is to weight them and got positively surprised - 1381 grams, with everything included as shipped - rim tape, valves and even the valve caps

Just a quick question - aren't the Veloflex Corsa TLR's supposed to be used in the 6/8 bar - (85/115 psi) range? I'm looking to get a set myself, but Zipp explicitly indicates 73 psi max for the new 404 Firecrest.

72.5psi is the ETRTO maximum for straight-sided rims. Zipp has tested tires at much higher pressures, but since they cannot guarantee the safe maximums on a per tire basis, they just print the ETRTO number.

Thanks for confirming back (thought I read that here somewhere already)! So I could run the Corsas 25mm front and 28mm back at 65-72 psi with no issues (I'm at 92 kg/200 lbs) - correct?
SRAM calculator says you should be at 60F / 64R.

Other than being ~200g lighter, why would I choose the zipp 454 nsw DB over the Bora WTO 60? Lifetime warranty of the zipps vs 3yrs with campy is a plus as is the slightly wider rim. Not excited about the cost of the zipps being ~$1000 USD more than the campy's. Not really digging the sawtooth profile of the zipp, but some ride reports claim/say the zipps are more aero and better in the wind.

With Conti now finally having released fast HL compatible racing tires, I have suddenly become interested in HL Rims.
I have figured out for myself, that 353NSW with 28c GP5000s might just be the perfect set up for mountainous grand fondos.
Has anyone here tried the 353 or seen aero-testing of those?
I just saw one media outlet say "they don't hold speed so great but climb well". Sounds like placebo stuff.

As for aero hability I think cycling weekly puts it very well: "The brand is very open about the fact that the 353 NSW rim isn’t necessarily aerodynamically straight-line faster than the also-45mm 303S. Instead, it has taken its testing out of the wind tunnel and into the real world, claiming watt savings in the region of 10 watts at 40kph through this more holistic - to use a very kale and kool aid friendly term - approach."
There are no magic shapes or black magic and you are very knowledgable in what is more aero and what is not.

If the 353 is as fast as the 303, I'd actually be quite happy. I am not a big fan of the sawtooth profile, while I like the looks, I don't think it does anything in terms of aero or stability. If there was a 303NSW at 1200g or so, I'd definitely get those.
I am not sure about HL atm, still in the testing phase for myself. With the Conti 5k being my go to racing tire, and these new tires reported to be significantly faster, it is worth giving it a shot for me.
With my race focus shifting more towards TT on one end (where I only need the flat out fastest components, that don't need to be any durable), and mountain GFs on the other end (where this comfort and light weight combination might come in handy), I feel like this could be interesting.
