Grand Bois Cerf probably.

My 23mm GB Col del la Madleine weigh 185g, the 28mm Cerf are 203g, so the 25s will be somewhere in between. Excellent tires, the ride is second to none.

Edit, just realized I had posted the same further up in the thread. I hope the weights match! I just returned from my lunch loop and I rode on my Cerf EL 👍

My pair of 25mm Gillar are 336, so 168g/tire

+1 for Panaracer Gillar, outstanding tyre. I live in Japan and ride in mountains a lot, and switching from gp5000 clincher to these was like night and day, clibing became so much easier.

How is the rolling resistance on the Gillar's and the puncture protection? I assume with such a light tire, rolling resistance is at least decent, but puncture protection is probably pretty poor.

Oh wow, I need to try them. The GB are made by Panaracer as well, or course

I can feel it's faster than GP5000 in 25mm and GP Force tubulars.
Regarding puncture protection; I didn't use them much but in 1000km no punctures yet (I am 75kg).
Use them with Vision Metron 40SL and they 25mm Gillar measure 24mm.

Now they are discontinued, and Agelist Light available which is basically the same tire with different protector pattern and logo.

A pair of Gillar is 5-6 Watts slower than a pair of 5k STR per BRR, but a bit more puncture resistance. Japanese have never made fast tires, as they prioritize grip and puncture resistance.

I don't run them these days but the lessor known Kenda Valkyrie 25 clincher typically comes in around 185 grams with good wear and road feel similar to the old GP4000.

I was always curious how they would fare in RR testing, but subjectively they were seemingly as fast or faster than the GP4000 or Michelin tires of that era.

Kenda Valkyrie pro clincher has been tested by Tour in 2019. It's on par with the old Schwalbe One clincher, as good on smooth road, and little faster on rough path.

veloflex record 135g. Got them here from Starbike. Very thin but have had good success riding them on local roads so far.

I presume, Agelist Light is pretty close to Gillar, right? Is it a substitute model, because Gillar seems to be discontinued...
