So, the Cinelli comes back from warranty work and ive decided as it's had a respray and I'm going to be racing now I need something that is quicker and lighter. The Cinelli has been insanely good, but it's still a steel frameset and you can tell. The temporary aluminium British cousin the Kinesis Aethein Disc has/is also brilliant, but I'm just wanting something a bit more high end. I'll keep the kinesis probably for a winter hack.

So the build will be Campagnolo record, and likely my Tune Schwarzbrenner 60mm wheelset (with possibility of WTO Boras) Berk Lupina, possibly going non-integrated stem/bar option but yet tbc.

That means the trick Tune bits and Darimo 31.6 post on the kinesis will be up for grabs if anybody is keen.

Should arrive on Tuesday, but for now a taster.

Lord baby Jesus, I'm very excited, some clear easy wins on the thru axles, bolts and hardware, potentially on seat/saddle cradle, tbc.

Bar/stem combo looks super nice, finish on the paint is super good and the carbon looks beautiful!

Wowsers - well, integrated cables are just a top top ball ache.

Getting there now, my campy bleed kit shat itself so I'm stuck. Along with carbon saddle rails to arrive soon.

Not long to go now!

Update.. god almighty - will weigh tomorrow, need to ride it. Looks epic. Don't buy one if you're running mechanical, unless you want to waste many many many hours :noidea:

Had to run cable outer all through the frame for front and rear mechs, should be smooth shifting at least 🤣

Looks great, I have the rim brake version and find it a great all rounder.
I run Deda bar/stem and found the cabling wasn’t too bad once I had them into the stem, at least full length outers won’t need replacing soon.
Enjoy!

Just wow, the ride is absolutely phenomenal. Blindingly quick when the power goes down, smooth, planted. I'm in awe.

Weight 7.62kg but I'm sure that'll come down with a few easy wins.

Irritatingly I need a longer Seatpost as this is maxed, I'm about 1cm too short. Bars will drop another 10mm as well after today's ride :)

great to see this built, but it is equally filling me with regret sending the frame i bought back as i was scared of the build using the 12 speed mechanical record groupset i had. I took one look inside the bars and frame and thought nah i dont fancy this and sent the frame back. Mine was a small so the stem will have been even shorter than what you have here so tighter bends to get around.
Love what the finished article looks like though and now you have me regretting my decision, especially as seen as size small is now out of stock at merlin lol!!

Hey bud, I had a fair look into it before I really committed and looked at the bend radius' and confirmed it would all be okay. I really think you would've been as well! But, by your sig you have a colnago so I'd equally say it's worked out fine!!!

They really rip and I can't believe how planted it feels, so my advice would be give it a go, you won't regret it. And also, I've got 23metres of maximum smoothness cable left so you can run it all the way through

Let us know if you go for it!!!

Were you able to find a longer seatpost?
