just a reference, my ax-lightness vial evo frame with headset and bottom bracket bearings is 750g, without those should be sub 700g.

Brutal! I love your build thread Is your AX vial is a size S? The only details on weight I could find are: "Weight without accessories (+/- 5%): S - 680g, M - 730g, L - 760g, XL - 785g."

Rather than the fancy nanocarbon technology and a lighter paintjob, I think most of the weight difference between a normal Himod and the Nano comes from the Bottom Bracket sleeve: one is a big chunk of metal, the other is a very thin aluminum sleeve with big holes in it.

I have one of the original evo's HM from 2012/13. Its BB is just carbon. After sanding and reclearcoating it with 2 decals it was 727g bare.

Interesting. My wilier zero.6 frameset (size small) came in a 681 g frame, 281 g fork. That's the one that can use mechanical or electronic groups.

Thanks for the info NiFTY. Your bike also inspired me to be honnest. I see 733g on your thread. So you were sub 700g without clearcoat? Which is great for a size 54 not nano!
I doubt they did full carbon BB honnestly... Do you have a picture by any chance? Then I wonder why in later versions they moved to a heavy aluminum sleeve...

All EVOs are PF46, cups goes into carbon directly. The thing on the picture is KR048 repair kit. It was meant to be a repair solution for bad BB tolerances and makes the frame a true BB30 with 42mm OD.

Well to be honest, it didn't. Right now my 1st gen EVO is in the position of a second bike with Shimano cranks mounted via threaded BB30-24 adapter and it's still cracking. I have much better experience with a direct PF30 threaded adapter on my 2nd gen EVO. It's a bit weighty but this cost is worth the gold thanks to a dead silent ride.

Ok I see what you mean. The cups are acting as sleeves at the same time and are threaded together in the middle.
You seem to really know your stuff about BBs. According to you, what would be the lightest option to widen the Evo BB (PF30 68mm wide) to 85.5mm in width? I found that THM have their own BB widening the original PF30 by putting the cups and bearings outside of the frame. I wonder if it is the best way. The plan is to fit the THM Clavicula SE cranks as you can imagine.

Finally managed to extract the bearings from the frame... Previous owner most likely had a creaking issue with the BB30, as the bearings were glued to the BB sleeve using red loctite. The BBT-90 extraction tool was not enough to get the job done, nor the rubber mallet which absorbs too much energy. So I gave it a chance with the heatgun on the bearings for a few seconds to break the bond, and then it all went out smoothly using BBT-30 tool
Frame weight is 775g (nowhere near the 655g claimed by the manufacturer's marketing department, but it was probably without paint and/or a smaller size). It is still 126g lighter than my 2015 Himod frame same size, which has a heavier paint job. And no nanocarbon technology

Good news. Today I decided to weight the frame a second time. Indeed 775g did not make any sense when comparing to the weight of similar frames. I have no clue what the scale had been smoking... but real weight seems to be 705g instead. So hopefully closer to 600g with the paint fully stripped off. I am very pleased with that

This project finally gets the saddle it deserves, with this Gelu K3 - at and impressively low 39g !! As far as know it is the lightest saddle in the world (claimed at 38g)... getting lower than that probably means riding with no saddle at all
The finishing is great, and I like the subtle little holes in it. It reminds me of the Drillium times and it really reflects well the weightweenie spirit. The carbon also has some flex, so it is certainly more comfortable than it looks.

3T Aero brake levers, the lightest I could find. It took me about 6 months to get my hands on a pair of these as the only new ones I could find were in New Zealand and they wouldn't ship them to me. Finally I got lucky to find these second hand pair online.
