Just pure bike porn! Can't wait to get my three Sturdy's! Because one is never enough πŸ˜‚
I notice it says you have a Carbon / Titanium Sturdy incoming. I didn't know Tom now offered that, is it a bit like the Seven and Firefly Ti / Carbon frames?

Wow! 7,07kg for a titanium discbrake bike. What is the weight of the frame alone?

I didn't weigh it before I built it up but the 3D printed junctions allow Tom to make them much lighter than conventional Titanium frames.

I've posted a few bits in the Titanium thread but feel I shouldn't really clog up that thread anymore!

I've recently picked up my custom Sturdy Cycles Titanium bike and details of the build and pics are below. The frame uses custom 3D Printed Titanium junctions to improve stiffness, reduce weight and improve custom fit options.

Frame: Sturdy Cycles Road Race
Fork: Enve Road Disk
Headset: Hope Integrated
Bottom Bracket: C-Bear T-47 Ceramic
Groupset: Shimano Dura Ace 9170 Di2
Stem: Enve Carbon
Bars: Pro Vibe Superlight Carbon Di2
Post: Moots Cinch Post
Saddle: Specialized Power Pro Carbon
Wheels: Lightbicycle WR38, DT Swiss 240, CX Ray Spokes
Tyres: GP 5000s
Cages: King Cage Iris
Spacers: Sturdy Titanium

Weight is 7.35kg
That is an amazing machine man, congrats!
So how do you like the ride? Please share some experiences with us!

It rides lovely, however, due to one reason and another I've not ridden it nearly as much as I'd have liked over the summer. The brief to Tom was to combine my old Canyon Endurace with my old Scott Addict and he seems to have nailed it. It is, without doubt, the most responsive titanium bike I've ridden and has pin-sharp handling. It also has that magical titanium quality.

As per official manufacturer weights that is sans pedals but it does include the cages.

In the latest marginal gains podcast with bastion's James woolcock he mentions printing parts for sturdy cycles. Bastion put out some amazing work so I'm excited to see something similar this side of the globe.

@saffronspokes: Lovely bike! I know Tom and really like the direction he has gone in. What are the biggest tires you can run and how long are your chain stays?

A small suggestion to clean up the di2 wire up front: you can fit the right size shrink tube over di2 + brake hose. It just fits without shrinking and makes for a very clean finish.

Cheers

Tom is such a great guy! I can run 32mm tyres (just) and the chainstays are 408mm I think

The Di2 routing has indeed been neatened up by shrink tubing

A custom Ti road bike is crazy! Do you have an idea of what it's going to look like? I'm jealous, Sturdy seems like a really innovative builder.
