thats a big weight difference from claimed, something that Hunt are quite accurate with normally from what I've heard. Might be worth contacting them

Not in my experience, I bought a set that was more than 100g overweight, and a friend had the same issue. Agree. Why would they even change that margeting info if everyone accept that higher false weight becouse it's "normal". Just return it and make them pay return cost becouse given info is not right.

Have you looked at JRA (Just Riding Along), I’ve just been riding a set of aluminium disc brake wheels, weighed in a 1425 as quoted on their website although they do now quote a slightly higher weight -Map wheelset – aluminium rims with Centre-Lock straight-pull 24 hole hubs, CX-Ray spokes and aluminium nipples 1447g / £430
