love the Oltre - if I had no Wilier to choose from it would be on the wish list for sure
Wiliers: Cento Uno; Cento SLR; Imperiale, Zero 7 (all Super Record 11sp naturally)

I have a 2012 and to be honest I see no difference in the frame outside of the stiffness claim. If you're interested in the bike I would find a used first gen model if you can get a sick discount, otherwise pick up the XR. The bike is amazing...I have zero complaints other than the wiring for Di2 could be better integrated but then again the Italians always lag in the electronics department.

So what is the difference between the Oltre and the Oltre XR? Stiffness and lightness?

Yes, stiffness and lightness, and different paint schemes. Feels a bit like when Apple was launching iPhone 3gs and iPhone 4s (as successors to 3g and 4). Not very much new but the "best model ever made by us!"

Just curious, what was it that made it for you with the Oltre xr and not the two previous Oltres?

The colors are not that bad I think. I kinda like the black seatpost/seattube.
As for those stiffness claims, kinda funny number juggling

For what it's worth, my Bianchi Oltre Team Vacansoleil is the best bike I've ridden so far. It's stiff in the BB and front, tracks stable, and is not too harsh of a ride.
