CAAD 10 Vs EVO

After months of waiting, the bike finally came in. I got the Cannnondale EVO that comes with Sram Red and only kept the frame, shifters, and derailleurs. I have a Cannondale Caad 10 all black, so I wanted to build this bike a little bit brighter.
I already had all the parts I had chosen for this bike, so the only thing missing was the frame.
These are the parts I chose to build this bike

The bike without cages and pedals weighted 5.7 k or 12.7 lbs, and with pedals and cages 13.2lbs
I also got a pair of white mavic ksyrium equipe wheels for trainning and It is still under 14.5 lbs

My Caad 10 weights 14.1 lbs and it has similar components as the EVO

I rode the bike once and it feels more comfortable than the CAAD 10 but it still stiff and responsive. I love it

Love this, doing a similar concept of building a carbon and aluminum versions of the same bike built similarly, just the build will be around a Specialized Tarmac and Allez with Campagnolo.

Solid builds for sure though.

I said it before and I'll say it again; That CAAD10, aesthetically blows the EVO away.
It is just so damn sinister looking, like it came to take care of business,
slap the competition and take their lunch money, then, date it's sister.

Your CAAD10 build makes me want to do something I never thought I'd consider.
It makes me want to build another aluminum road bike.




My intention now?

-Get an EVO Sram Red and a black anodized frameset.
-Use all the take-off parts from the EVO to slap them on the CAAD10.
-Build-up the EVO with some premium carbon bits to get her in the high 12lb range.
-Have the CAAD10 as a back-up/training rig & parts mule.

I'd have an awesome pair of CDales for under $10K.

I would love to have a caad 10 as an "Extra" bike. Nice fleet your building there
