Rob - That's a fantastic job you've done there. It just looks so right. The stem and fork especially. Ted, you're a lucky bugger.

Just one word: Wow! I really like all the details including the fork/stem system and integrated cables. Ted, I hope you're bringing this one to NL coz I wanna see it in person!

Is there a RAL code for this color or could you tell us how it was done/mixed?

Well Ted wanted chrome plating, and this was my suggested alternative - it is powder coated, the powder is by Prismatic, Super-Chrome first coat with Clear Vision top coat.

Get EE brakes. I am thinking that Berk might be able to do carbon covers for them which would look cool on this bike. I might send him mine to make the covers/fairing for them.

Well, we decided the EE brakes won't work on this build due to the cable routing on the rear. I'm trying to get a set of used ZG ti brakes.

I forgot about that. Crap. Hope you get your brakes soon.

Cheers.

Well, there has been an unforseen issue with the bike. The Sweet Wings cranks don't clear the chainstay on the non-drive side. As anyone, myself included, would assume, Rob expected the arms to be symmetrical. There was 5mm clearance on the drive side. But the non-drive side contacts the stay. It's too late to try and make any modification to the frame so I am going to finish the build with my THM Clavicula cranks from my Litespeed.

I still don't have brakes to finish the build. I've come into an unexpected budget crunch... groceries and rent have won out over bike parts.

Rob has been asked to show the bike next month. So I've told him to hang onto it for the show. He'll assemble it with his wheels and some of his own brakes for the show, then send it back to me sans those parts. So it will be an extra few weeks before I have it in hand, but I'm ok with that.

Expect professional, studio shots in the coming weeks.
