Wanting to remove some treads from some old dugast rhino's ready to be sent to FMB, has any one got any guidelines on how to do it!?

Got a good reply from dugast...easier than I thouhgt
"Put the tyre during more than 3 hours in a room with a temperature of +/- 20 ˚C, so that it becomes really supple.
Pull off the side of the tread with your nail over +/- 0,5 cm.
Take the loose part and pull it further off the casing over +/- 5 cm
Push with your thumb carefully under the tread so that your thumb arrives at the other side of the tread.
Put the tread over your thumb and pull it off the casing with parts of 1-2 cm until the casing is totally off.
Remove the loose parts of glue.
Don't use any aggressive or chemical materials to remove the glue off the tread, otherwise the tread cannot be used again.
I hope that everything is clear, I apologise for my poor English. Please let me know if there are any further questions."

old handmade tires used to glue down the tread cap with liquid latex - not the strongest glue (but obviously adequate) and that is why the treads can be lifted up by hand.
old-timer once told me how guys in the Great Depression would take their old worn tires and glue salvaged treads down on top of the old ones for training use.

There are several ways and here are a few suggestions:
If you live in a sunny worm place then just put them in your car, close windows and leave the car for one hour in the sun.
The heat inside the car acts like an oven and melts the glue. The tread will come off very easily .
This is also to inform you not to leave tubulars or handmade tires in your car in the sun.
Other option is to use solvent. Same solvent used to remove glue from wheels will do.
