Does anyone have any experience with selling a bike overseas. Im in the states and I would like to sell my frame in the UK because you cant get the frame over there. So, can I just ship it like anything else or will it get caught in customs. I figure the package value will be about $3,000.

Other than filling out a simple form you don't have to worry about it. The recipient is the one who gets nailed. Many people mark things as gifts with low value to do the buyer a favor and avoid VAT on the other end but since you can only insure for the stated amount it's pretty dangerous for expensive items that way.

I just sold a frame a few months ago to a guy in Norway. It was pretty easy on my end. Just a simple form to fill out stating the value and some other stuff.
