The problem for me is not whether 29er are better (they are) is what do I do with the 4 26" bikes I own.

I recently bought a 29er. My current stable consists of a 160 mm canyon strive and a 140mm on one steel hardtail. I sold a 23lbs stumpjumper hardtail to get the 29er (giant anthem) and built it up with full xt groupset and its circa 26 or 27lbs. How does it compare? On 80% of my rides its faster however it feels compromised on very steep up or down and anything properly technical in comparison to the other 2 bikes.
