Positively sure Jan was riding a Walser!
In a Eurosport preview Jan's mechanician showed a Giant (with sloping top tube!) to the camera's saying is was Jan's TT bike, but Jan actually rode his Walser
Whow! That's a pretty damn nice garage door!

easy way to identify the bikes.

Jan's Giant has the front brake behind the fork, the Walser doesn't

But you need to use a Walser rear wheel on Walser frames (narrower than other frames). Jan used a Xentis wheel in the prologue. Can someone explain this?

The pic above: Giant. Differences; front brake and head tube. This is the easiest way to identify them

NZKiwiGuy, the picture of Jan racing that you posted isn't of him at the Tour de France, because Jan raced with a 4 spoke rear wheel.

Also, it is a walser handlebar, as you can tell by the Carbon Brake lever, compared to the aluminium one on his giant.

The Giant also has a silver stem - The Walser that Jan raced didn't.

But, as it has already been pointed out... The brake is on the front of the fork.

I know the ONCE ones were made by Tektro of all people (seriously). It's like a BMX u-brake and bolts on to two bosses on the forks.

I have yet another "break through"... The Giant's frame has an integrated head set...

The Walser has a conventional, "external" headset.

Guys,

I posted the picture to show the brake behind the fork (i.e it's the giant). :o

I KNOW IT'S NOT A WALSER. Hence why I posted it. As he was not riding it in the TDF, I could not show a picture of it there

Any other proof of "re badging" in the TDF
