nice find,

my take on it is that on flat ground the benefits of increased cardiac output are offset by the discomfort of sitting on a hard saddle bent over on the drop bars with an erection.

You beat me to the Stroke Volume joke, but everyone knows that Viagara increases Stroke Volume!! Remember, if the increased Stroke Volume lasts over 4 hours you should consult a physician.

On a serious note, I would venture that the ones that weren't affected were the ones in the best shape and that the ones that weren't affected had the fastest times even faster than the improved times of the ones that it helped. This is the kind of scientific study that the press gets ahold of all the time and when you dig down into the actual paper the effects are not necessarily what the headlines indicate. I would love to see his actual data.

On another light note, wouldn't it be nice if Viagara (Pfizer) sponsored a Pro bike team since they already sponsor a NASCAR team.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.
