The elilee cranks have 28mm axles so you have to use the provided plastic sleeves. So there's no direct contact with the bearing
I know... I'm still skeptical that a sleeve will stop wear and tear. Carbon surfaces dont like any friction. Would be cool if Elilee did some testing and showed us what the spindle looks like after a simulation of 20,000km of riding. Maybe its not an issue, but if its got a realistic life of say 15,000km then its not worth it. OTH maybe you're right and the sleeves save the spindle from a slow death.

Elilee are teasing a new 24mm spindle design for the new year. Crank arm looks different to the Novanta-X, but it appears it's going to be a super light 24mm option.

They already do a 24mm version. Are you saying another different version?

This will be the ultimate crankset for BB86 frames.

"Trecento"
So,latin for a "three hundred" gram (arms and spindle).

It's presumably carbon 24mm spindle with revised arms, the latter of which will presumably also be pushed to the novanta. Can't see them getting near 300g with a Ti spindle.

The new 24 is still Ti spindle, with a thinner wall but keeping nearly 24 mm OD instead of shrinking to 20. It will be stiffer but less strength (from overkill to more than enough strength)

Only if the price is competitive. SRAM Red Dub is still the best value and 4030 bearings work perfectly fine.

The existing one is 20mm with reducers?

No, 24mm at the bearings but reduced to 20 in the (long) middle

this crankset is targeted at shimano users who are upset how heavy dura-ace/ultegra chainsets weigh.
i hope this Elilee is simple plug/play installation . no silly spacers required.

What do you mean by "silly spacers"? There are no spacers involved and I swap BBs anyway because most bikes come with cheap cups. Whether I get 24mm or 30mm makes no difference.
