Is anyone utilizing a steerer tube shim and running a non synros one piece stem/bar? Is it acceptable and considered safe? Cant fine Snycros stuff any where. Much thanks.

EXS has a shim and spacer kit for Aerover bars to fit 23+ Foil.

Just got a new foil. Does anyone know where this piece goes? I’m assuming in the seat post but I’m not sure. TIA

Is there any consensus about how new(current) Foil compares to 2022 Foil bikes? I know @Konsi got one that looks fantastic. Would like to get more opinions from users.

By all accounts and testing the 23 Foil is one of the fastest aero bikes out there. Handles like a full on aero bike, not one of the do it all bikes like a SL8 or Factor Ostro VAM.

I'm specifically talking about the previous one. New one looks strange.. like a mix between TT bike and road bike. :noidea: I get that it makes it faster, but still.
Plus I was offered previous one at very aggressive price.

I wasn't originally a fan, but it's growing on me. To the point I'm considering it for my next all out aero bike.

Same here. I can get a 2022 Foil RC HMX Supersonic frameset right now for crazy cheap*. I can't seem to get the new frameset or bike until at least mid-Summer and it's gonna cost a fortune. I really wanted the new HMX SL frame, but I'm gonna start looking into the 2022 to see if I'd like it enough to be content in a few years when price and availability are long forgotten. I can see the frame weight is the same and the old fork is lighter. The new frame is more aero but how aero is the old frame? Is it like a new Tarmac, or is it at least comparable to contemporary aero frames?

*A hitch may be handlebar availability since it seems to use the same bar/stem as the new bike and they don't seem to be in stock anywhere.

AFAIK 2022 model (all integrated cables) designed after previous year model (2019 or 2020?) or even older.
We accept that most of the current bikes can take wide (28-30c) tires and are pretty comfortable, just want to ensure it's still the case with previuos one

I got crazy lucky. Just after making the previous post my contact at Scott USA found me a '23 Foil Ultimate that was a display bike at a shop and had just been returned. I need to swap out every part on it besides the frame, fork, and headset to end up with the bike I want, but at least I got my hands on the frame I want in the color I like. I may have to live with the stock handlebar for a while until Syncros restocks 400×120*.
Good luck to the rest of you.

*Fingers crossed they start making 380×120!

Congrats! Do you have a photo of it? What's the stock group set and what will you swap it for?

Syncros only has 400x120 or 380x110 (75mm reach 125mm drop)
EXS aerover has 70mm reach and 125mm drop, but they make 380x120, 380x130, 380x140.
And Farsports F1 has an option for new Foil RC with 380x120. It has 75mm reach and 127mm drop.

Red AXS w/Zipp 454 NSW
I'm replacing the Zipps with Hyper D67s so I can use 25mm clinchers.
Repacing the groupset with DA9200 w/Red 22 crank because DA9000 w/Red 22 crank is what I've put on all my bikes for 10 years, so this is the most similar disc groupo.
A Hylix seatpost & ebay carbon saddle are replacing the heavier stock parts.
I expect it to come with a 400 or 410 × 110 handlebar/stem that I'll replace with 400×120.
