Cervélo Caledonia 2021
Moderator: robbosmans
Spent last week riding my Cale 5 in Gran Canaria. The island has some epic climbs and stunning scenery, but also some very poor road surfaces. I genuinely can't think of a better bike for the job. Snappy and light on the climbs, stable and comfortable on the most challenging descents and surfaces.

Close! I did ride up to Soria and it was a fantastic climb, but that pic was taken from Mirador de Ayagaures on the short loop from Maspalomas.tommyb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 4:20 pmThink I recognise that road, Soria dam in the distance?exige wrote:Spent last week riding my Cale 5 in Gran Canaria. Another Caledonia on Gran Canaria
I think a lot of roads a quite terrible. But the landscapes are awesome!
Has anyone looked into fitting (or actually fitted) something like the avian integrated cockpits on a Cal5?
The canary, for example, would save 300g over the stock cockpit which would be great for $300. They have spacers designed for the soloist and the R5, would either of these work?

I did it 12 months ago. Details in this thread
I checked your Jan 31, 2023 post. But unable to see the pictures. Could you please repost the pictures? Interested on Avian cockpit as well. TIA

I can see the pictures fine on Tapatalk. I remember you doing this @stevecurtis . Was really wondering how the transition spacer would look against the Cervelo top cap and Avian cockpit.
Anyway, I messaged Panda Podium and they've added Cal5 and Aspero5 spacer options to the Avian listings. User @skinnybex has fitted one to his R5 so waiting for him to post some pics when he's back.

It's hard to see the exact profiles of the underside of the bar, so you have to have them I hand before you can create a spacer.
As a diy proof on concept it worked extremely well.
I'd also like to see that
