Alfine DI2 1x11 setup
Moderator: robbosmans
Hi all,
I currently run a 1x11 SRAM Red/Rival setup on my race bike, and love it. I've been thinking about going DI2. After scoring an absolute bargain on ebay for a new right hand Alfine DI2 shifter yesterday, I've decided to take the plunge.
I'm completely new to DI2, so am trying to figure out how it all works. Since I'm sticking with 1x11, then I think I only need the following?:
-Right hand shifter (already bought an Alfine DI2 shifter for this job)
-Junction Box
-Battery
-DI2 6870/9070 rear mech
-associated cables.
Those who know about DI2, can you tell me if I've got this right, and if this plan would even work please?
As for the lefthand brake lever, am I right in thinking that the Ultegra 6770 levers are physcially the same as the Alfine DI2 levers? So if I used a 6770 Ultegra lever for the left hand brake lever, the pair would match?
