superlight frames have issues like that. Some companies explicitly note how to only use the frame for its purpose (that is riding).

Got a reply from Canyon;
"After checking the pictures several times it looks like to much force from using a rack, bike stand or sitting on the tube. The result are the crack lines that are not a defect under warranty, because of the carbon layout .
We can offer a frame under crp (crash replacement program)"
No luck with the warrenty claim, and surprised that they do mention sitting on TT. Seems no choice but I might have to explore an Alu frame for the next one. An experience lesson to me...anyone else who sits on TT might have to consider getting rid of such hobbit for the latest carbon frames.
P.S. - replacement flame will cost me USD 1779 (the 2nd year) + 2 way shipping (USD 300 each? If Canyon is charging the same as getting a new bike) = USD 2,379...any thoughts? Or other brands from LBS

Like I said in an earlier post, the tt doesn't have high forces applied to it and it's an easy repair for under $500. No question about the logical call.
I'm in the US and actually used the Canyon crash replacement program. They were very accommodating. I cracked my 2011 Ult cf slx in a race crash. Rather than send it back to Germany, they just had me take pictures once I "destroyed the frame". It was kind of weird taking a hack saw to a carbon frame. I asked if I could replace with a current model (2015) and they did for an fair upcharge. The day they released the 2015 model to the public, it was DHL overnighted to me for $250. It was very good customer service.
Thanks guys, think I'll first try the repair route, that said, I'm kinda envy you guys living in the Europe, US, or other established countries. I live in Hong Kong myself and havent find any carbon specialist in Hong Kong yet on Google, will consult my LBS to see if he has any connections. I'm a bit hesitate to have my frame repaired from any so claimed "specialists" in mainland China.
If you repair a carbon frame what do you do with the repaired area with bare carbon? It seems like a new stock paint job will cost another few hundred dollars making the decision to repair it not as easy.
I also 'sit' on my TT but with my right foot always clipped in and the left foot on the ground. There's really not a lot of force being put on the top tube.

the only carbon specialist I found in HK just rejected the repair request (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not professional, but since there are lack of manfucturing business here, there are limited options):
"Sorry that I may not repair your frame. The crack seems expand deep into carbon layer as the crack is long and can be pressed. Probably bent a lot during damage occur.
That is for safety reason, thanks for your photos and question."
