Hi
I have been searching and researching about power meters for a while. Looking for one that will work on my winter bike, that has Shimano gxp and my summer bike that has Sram red22 bb30
The 2 power meter i have been thinking of are the powertap P1 pedals or converting the winter bike and using rotor IN power. Any thoughts or advice anyone can offer?

Will the power2max still work on a bb30 frame and a gxp frame?
You have internet right?

Sorry I have been looking just need to get an adaptor for the gxp frame was just worried the spindie would be to short when switching
Here's rotors compatibility chart

So bottom line is both the 3d and 3d+ are compatible with both, assuming appropriate bottom bracket selection

Just a point of clarification: gxp is sram's name for it's bottom bracket/24mm spindle cranks.
I would advise getting a used Quark. You can get one for 700 or so on eBay right now and you'll get both left/right power plus a good crank in itself.

If it's a pure Weight Weenie decision:
- Stages only adds 20g to the crank
- use smartphone app to record data as you won't need to add a head unit to the bike
If it's a performance decision and you wish to see data as you ride:
- Stages 1-leg system wont be the best for data & you'll never truly know your imbalances. Worse, once you realize this, your imbalances may radically change due to subconscious overcompensation.
- SRM wired systems are known to be bombproof and reliable almost forever. I know many models circa 2005 that are still in use now and it'll hold up fine as long as batteries/calibration are kept on top of. Dead cheap 2nd hand if you use the Google wattage group or check eBay.
