Hi everyone,
I would like to ride with a more aero frame, but this makes my bike +-7.1kg instead of 6.8kg. How can I save weight without anyone seeing it?
I need to the brands from my team. So was thinking for example mechanical instead of elektr groupset, lighter cables and titanium bolts. Anyone other suggestions?
My bike is the Ridley Noah SL, with campa elek, deda, look pedals and san marco saddle.
Thanks in adavance

powercordz cables can certainly save a useful amount, but i would not use them if you'll need to remove/refit mechs/brakes during the season, reclamping risks damaging the inner fibres
ti bolts will only save a little
why not lighter post/saddle/wheels/bars/stem/whatever with decals/paintjob to match whichever brand(s) the team needs them to look like?

Powercordz good idea. Thx.
Because sponsers often come to races, and they will notice for sure...

That is a bit to much weightweenie for me!
Although I'm no expert in the matter, however I've been on a similar exercise trying to shed some fat off my ride.
Without getting into the specifics and boring everyone to tears, or commandeering this thread, I'm also at 7.2kg mark and only have left to swap out for Ti bolts and install the Powercordz into the Nokon housing.
I was considering using zero gravity brakes too.
All of which should break the 7keg mark. Then I'll be happy.
Best of luck Tim.

lightweight bar tape and a narrower handlebar, you will also be more aero too.
- Lighter skewers possible?
- Alligator iLink Cables
- Lighter seatpost possible?
- Are you allowed to use Veloflex Record tubulars?
- Chop handlebars down / less bar tape / narrower
- Lighter BB?
I guess, if you're sponsored, can you contact each sponsor to get the lightest components they have? Can you convince them to make you customized lighter parts for you?
