TCR Advanced SL owners - carbon bars/stem?
Moderator: robbosmans
Hi folks,
Looking to see what carbon bar/stem combos people are using?
When I got my SL, I just the alloy stem as there didn't seem to be much available due to
the make up of the frame.
Has this changed?
I've been looking at shaving a few g's so wondered what the best weight to price ratio there was or is it all just really expensive?
Giant do their own versions but looking for stuff that might be lighter and fit.
Possibly EE brakes down the line if they would be that much better than my SR dual pivots?
Cheers
Richie

In the meantime there are much more options available in 1 1/4" stems.
Non Giant would be ritchey, Syntace, Pro
But from Giant there are the contact 1 and 2 alloy stems (the last one has a good price/weight and comes with Ti. bolts).
Furthermore there is the Type 1 carbon stem (whichs is quite bulky and not too easy in combination with Ui2 and Di2 11v), the new carbon stem looks a bit more elegant (both come with a full carbon aero bar).
I like the looks of the Giant fixed carbon stem / bar combo but it's expesive and the disability tot tilt the bar made me decide against it.

Brands suported are mentioned above. To check available options online, use the term "OD2" price wise Pro XLT and Giant Connect 2 seem ok on the weight/price category.

Resurrecting this thread to ask the question..
Besides Giants own, are there any other 1.25inch/31.8mm integrated aero stem/bars available?
The Giant one to me, looks a bit fugly and the Canyon one looks quite large and rounded on the 'flat' part.
If not I'll just continue to lust over non-integrated bars/stem combo's.
