I'd ride an R series if they still weren't so damn tall.

Does anyone know the weight difference between the R2 and the S2?

No exact weights.....but I belive R3 will be around 1050g, maybe 1100g because of the heavy white paintjob. S2 around 1150g.

The R3 has gotten heavier. I seem to remember my original 2006 R3 being 920g or so (56cm including hanger).

The S series is not a bike for WW. Aero is always heavier due to the job they are supposed to perform over the pure road models.

Still managed to build my S3 to 6.8kg. Super fast and light[emoji106]

I think he's confused R2 and R3 weights here as the R3 isn't available in white.

been thinking about buying an R5 but the 2015 paint job ruins it for me... anyone see it in person? Hoping its one of those "looks much better in person"

I also seriously thought about it and saw it recently. It is not black as it appears on pictures. It is rather anthracite which looks OK. However, the red top tube makes it a no go for me.

Seen the 2015 R5 in the flesh and it looks great, red top tube and all. It's convinced me to seriously consider it as my next bike in the spring.

I've seen the 2015 R5 in person and liked the looks. The red stripe would not stop me from buying one. But then again, the red stripe was not something I found unappealing in the first place even just seeing pictures online. I think the R5 looks WAY better than the R3 paint scheme.

The s5 is not much heavier. I have a 2008 SLC-SL with carbon Reynolds at 12.5 lbs

I took delivery of my R5 build last week and I love the way the frame looks. The new Cervelo owners have been very brave and credit to them for that. They can't be criticized for playing safe. It's like a Mondrian painting, quite artistic. The finish is top notch and ultra stylish. It's original and different. People just seem to like same old. Well done new Cervelo.

I still haven't had a chance to see the new R5 in person, but still think that it would have looked nicer (to me) if the top tube was left the same as the rest of the bike. Would have looked great.
