Somewhere on the web, I recently read about how to tell if you were putting too much weight on the front wheel when out of saddle ... it said don't drive the front wheel into the pavement. Prior to this, I often focused on my front wheel when out of the saddle climbing and watching it fat out with every pedal stroke. Oops! Having a visual queue has been a tremendous asset in modifying my technique.
