Yes, I did get a free lap, but I had to ride on the flat (at 25 kph) to the finish line for the wheel. My friend's DT Swiss RWS skewer was a pain in the a$$ and I was some 100m behind the group when I was back on the bike. Worse thing is, the break formed when I was busy changing my wheel, when I was defenseless.

Do you have your position specs? I am thinking about a C60 and trying to educate myself as much as possible.
