Broken Zipp rim - owner liable - replacement rim possible?
Moderator: robbosmans
Friend of mine had a solo crash, and wrecked his zipp rim - completely his own fault. Since I haven't found any place that sells Zipp rims, I wondered if it's possible to buy rims seperately at all? The rims are 4 years old and secondhand. And there's no receipt.

I bought a 2nd hand Zipp disc years ago that arrived with a hole in the carbon but was able to have my local shop send it to Zipp and repair it for a nominal charge. You may need to lean on a shop for assistance but you should be able to get the help you need.....or contact Zipp directly and simply indicate that you have a damaged wheel needing repair and inquire about a viable solution to remedy.

Some wheel manufacturers have a crash replacement policy of some kind. I feel like it's usually something like getting all of the components at a steep discount and paying for wheel build labor.
You can also check with www.wheelbuilder.com. They are authorized Zipp service.
