Yet another sub-4kg bike
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
One of my WW friends started building a WW bike aiming at the sub-4kg goal.
He has gathered almost all the parts needed, and he's now waiting for the AX seatpost and crankset to be shipped. I estimate the final dry weight (w/o glue and air) of the bike to be around 3900gr.
Will post more details of the bike soon, so stay tuned!

Exotic light parts are expensive. They are easy enough to look up yourself.
When you're doing some sortlike projects, money isn't the problem...

Frame is '07 addict SL (w/o ISP) weighing 786gr, sanded down and refinished to 747g.
He has bought a storck fascenario 0.7 for the build but it turned out to be A LOT heavier than expected, 893 gr for the smallest size!

Sub 4kg is really impressive. Having a frame in the 700 gram range doesn't hurt the cause. Weightweenies needs more builds like this. It's fun to see.

798gr wheelset is composed of older(lighter) edge 1.25 rims, cx-ray spokes, m5 flanged front and extralite sx rear hub.
And sapim released the superspoke just days after he had built the wheelset
