[quote="mvacolnago"]I started with this

Then I send the Colnago EPS frame to Ruckus to be converted for electronic shifting and a respray, first they stripped the paint

____________

Where did they put the battery, in the seatpost? Looks pretty nice!

Ruckus Composites converted the frame from mechanical to electronic, they drilled all the holes needed and made sure all the routing was possible.

I did the build and the V2 battery is in the seat tube, using the mounting screws that feed through the water bottle bosses

The holes were drilled at a local bike shop but before we did we spoke to CALFEE DESIGNS about how to do it without messing anything up. Its actually pretty simple. I never planned on doing EPS groupo so i bought the frame as a traditional cable pull bike. When i started on the build my friend who owns the bike shop asked if i wanted to do EPS, since we were doing a slow build and buying only the best goodies i decided on doing EPS. We only drilled 3 holes (down tube, seat tube, and chain stay) it was very simple and strait forward. We ran all the cables inside the tubes and it was fine. I weight 220lbs (100kilos) and i ride as hard. No issues whatsoever and it now has around 1200miles on it.

I've updated the bike...i'll post up new pics.

Any updates on this conversion? Any issues that arose over the 2 seasons since you made this conversion?

How were the holes in the dropout / chainstay and down-tubes done and with what size drill bits? Do you use rubber grommets to seal the holes from water, or are there grommets in the EPS kit?

I'm thinking of doing this same conversion using the EPS V2 internal battery on my mechanical C59. Hopefully that means only 2 holes need to be drilled? Anyone else make this conversion and care to share their experiences both good and bad?

Thanks in advance.
