I have had several other builds on here, some of which are still going, and are mostly Cannondale bikes. I picked up a Six13 frame on eBay this afternoon to build as a fun ride and crit bike. As with most of the brushed finish models, this does have corrosion around the aluminum/carbon junction. To get ride of this, I am going to sand down the entire frame, polish the aluminum sections and clear coat the carbon. As soon as the frame arrives I will post pictures and weight. In the meantime I will begin putting together a spreadsheet, and start buying parts. The auction did not include a fork, so I will have to decide on that too. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fork?

Are you doing this with your other build, or has that one stopped?

This is genuinely one of my favorite bikes ever. Good job. I did a rip off job of it with a Pinarello Prince SL awhile back that I have a thread for somewhere.

This build is definitely my inspiration for my own bike. I wish that I could put Campy in this build, but it will have to have Sram Red for now.

I am still planning to get a CAAD10 in the future, but I had a Six13 itch to scratch!

That bike is a classic, I'm sure people will be looking at it for decades.

There's a timeless beauty to polished aluminium that you just don't get with carbon.

I agree. Though I was originally looking for a CAAD10, when I saw this I couldn't pass it up. It will be a beauty when built with Campy!

I have put together a parts list for the build, featuring parts that I already own. There may be a few changes, but it will mostly stay the same. I have basically decided on a 3T Funda for the fork, but haven't bought one yet. Here is the build list:

The asterisks indicate parts that I have purchased.

Here are the parts that I have right now. Quite a few more things will arrive next week.

The wheels, tires, tubes, skewers, and cassette for the build. This setup is transferred between all my bikes.

When the frame comes in next week I will post pictures and weights.

The bars came in today, and I polished them more. They were already the Ritchey Classic silver, but that is a coating over the aluminum. I wanted raw so I sanded them down and polished them. They came in at 295g which isn't WW, but good enough for this build.

The frame came in today, and I'm very pleased with it. It is in very good condition, but as with all of these frames, it does have galvanic corrosion. This will of course be sanded off. Here are some pictures:

I'm about to start work on it, and will post pictures of my progress tonight.

@dudemanppl- Yes, and I even stickered them myself. [emoji23]

I have 2 hours of work into this frame, and have taken all the lettering off the carbon tubes with a razor blade, and sanded the top tube to bare carbon. Tomorrow I will do the same to the down tube, and mask for the paint stripping on Friday. I'm hoping to have some polishing happening this weekend!

I'll post another update tomorrow after the down tube is done.

Very excited to see the complete build! But why fake Zipps? Why not go with something like light bicycle?

In the future I will definitely look at Light Bicycle. I have these wheels because I'm on a tight budget, and a friend recommend that I get a pair. Between my dad and I we have 4 pairs, and we haven't had any problems.
