This started life as an original Parlee Z5sl. It was painted by SunGraphics in Melbourne.

I love it. After a few years though times have changed and it was time for an update. I still love it. But still using cables! And outside the frame!

It could probably be lighter but I don't need it to be. I'm guessing 7.1kg.

Frame - Parlee Z5sl M/L
Fork - Enve 1.0
Headset - Cane Creek 40
Seatpost clamp - Parlee
Seatpost - Syntace P6 Hi-Flex
Seat - Fizik Antares VS carbon
Stem - 3T Arx LTD
Bar - Easton EC90slx
Bartape - Ozriders Stealth
Bottle Cages - Arundel Mandible
Brakes - SRAM Red Aerolink
Brake Cables - Alligator I-Link
Front derailleur - SRAM Red eTap
Rear derailleur - SRAM Red eTap
Crankset - SRAM Red Quarq
Chain - SRAM PC1130
Shifters - SRAM Red eTap
Cassette - SRAM PG1170
Wheels - Hed C2 on White Industries with Sapim CX-Rays
Tires - Continental GP4000s 25mm
Pedals - Shimano Dura-Ace 9000
Skewers - Shimano Dura-Ace 9000
Computer - Garmin Edge 800

Now to build. It'll be a keeper. It'll be the last bike I own with rim brakes. It's for leisurely rides in the sunshine. It's for comfort and reliability.

Ran out of day trying to get a veggie garden built! Just had time to get it build and take for a spin for an hour. Blips...game changer! Shifting from the flats of the bars.

That's a really nice paint job. So much nicer than the original which I rarely say. And way nicer than the Altum which i rate a visual fail. Enjoy.

Wow that old paint was so cheesy. I was afraid that's how you're going to build it up, but then saw it was repainted to this nice scheme. It looks so nice - Z5 is such a classic, timeless design it looks great now few years after the introduction and most likely will look that good for a long time!

Man, the original looks like an ebay knockoff frame... especially the lettering! The new blue scheme is really! Like how you painted the seatpost, stem and spacers to match

Beautiful mid-life facelift. Steve does an incredible job with his paint too. Kudos, nice to see a Z5 getting some love!

Might still fine tune a bit but works well for now.
