I'm so close to burn my Assaults. I had 3 tires slashed at the bead by the rear rim, 2 Challenge Stradas and 1 Pave CG. It's been 2 years and I just recently started to have this problem. Rim's inner surface is smooth all around. Anyone else had this issue with carbon rims?

That steed has served me well and now being sold, will be replaced by a C60. I wish I had extra space to keep it though.

Sleepless --

I have the same frame and have the opportunity to get the Assault SLGs super cheap. Did you have any clearance issues with the wheel/tires near the chain stays or with the brakeset?

Good luck with the new bike!

Sorry for the delay, I just saw your post that you are selling the bike/frame and have sent you a PM. Could be interested.

@jtill, no issue with brakes but there was slight rubbing on chainstays under load with 25C tires that come bigger than 25.

Thanks. That is helpful. I hear the 23 contis on this wheel actually expand out to about 25, so I might go that route.

Much appreciated.
