Hi,

I've found RockShox SID SL on auction at wallet-friendly price, but not knowing much about older air forks I would like you to take a look at it and answer some questions. Is the fork from 1999 or 2000? What were the differences between these models? I presume it is '99 SID, equipped with C3 cartridge and following questions refers to this model. What is the height (from axle to the top of crown) of 63 mm version and that of 80 mm? Is it possible to change travel by swapping some spacers like in new SIDs or the whole C3 cartridge have to be replaced? Did anyone tried to service this cartridge in home using basic workshop tools, is it possible at all? Thanks for replies.

MaLóL,

Does your SID have 63 or 80 mm travel? What is its height?
