Actually I had deda newton shallows on here before I got the deeps. I just prefer the deeps. I have big hands and I like the deeper drops. I am selling my deda newton shallows if anyone is interested they are 42cm outside to outside.
Take a Deda Newton Shallow and keep the 130 stem! Best of two worlds...
@Bantamben: I have the same bike, same size. I also like a classic shaped bar. I used to ride the Deda Deeps as well. Sitting in my garage right now. I know what you say about the shallowness of the Deda Shallows. But the Deda Deeps have like a 95mm reach. That's huge. I found either the 3T Rotundo or, my favorite... the Deda Campione (if you can find one). The 3T Rotundo is deeper than the Deda Shallow, and the Deda Campione is deeper than the Rotundo but not as deep or stretched out as the Deda Deeps. I use them with a 130mmm stem. I see you have a zero (or close to it) setback seatpost. Is that because the reach from your bars and stem are pulling you forward? Don't let your bars dictate where you have to have your saddle... get the saddle position right first, then get bars and stem to fit where you fall naturally from there. Looks like your saddle height may be a bit higher than mine as well, and I could never get on with that Regale saddle (tried it, but no go). Anyway, nice ride. Enjoy!
I have a minimal setback seatpost as I don't need a lot of setback. I currently am running 9cm I believe although my saddle heght is 82cm so if I had a more setback post I think it might be too much. I use the kops as a starting point which I believe I'm right at that currently. Yeah I like the regale i had a romin 155 before wich was good I prefer a wider saddle
