After a long waiting period for my DA 7900 group my bike is finally finished... Tell me what you think about it!
I have thought long about this project and not all the parts are very light weight but quality and warranty was one of the most important things for this project. As you will notice I bought almost the complete Shimano bike gear magazine

Part list:

- Canyon Ultimate CF 58 cm
- Full DA 7900 group except ultegra cassette 12/25 (DA on stock for summer 11:23) and old dura ace chain.
- Ambrosio excellence/ Sapim Race/ Dura ace 7900 hubs and quickreleases
- Syntace f119 120 mm stem
- Pro vibe 7s round bar
- Pro vibe carbon seatpost
- Selle italia Flite kit carbonio
- Michelin pro race 2 tires
- Elite ciussi inox

Total weight is 7,2 kg but a new wheelset should make it a lot lighter! Next project

I think i will change the bartape to a silver or black one.. Your opinion?

With many thanks too: Strobbekoen :D

Great job! The big cranks looks great with those oversized Canyon tubes...and the wheels are a nice, conservative option for now.

Happy riding!

WTF? Student bike?

I worked full time for a year for part of my degree last year and I could only afford my Nero Corsa (+ Langster +Ribble winter bike + loads of Assos, so if I'd bought less of the other stuff I could have got something like this too) :(

I'll have to wait until I get a job now....

Very nice bike, I really like the new Canyon's. What about orange tape to match the striping?
I would switch to different bottle cages though, but not necessarily carbon. These Elite's are a bit too classic looking for the frame and parts.
P.S. keep a spacer above the stem, the stem clamps better that way.

It was a long way to this bike, and i ordered almost all at a distributor and other actions so not too expensive, duable for me as a student!

It's btw a 2008 frame, i also like the colour sheme of the 2009 models maar those are almost the same and a lot more expensive...

Think i will put a black bartape on it and maybe some black bottlecages, that would make the look a lot better!

Thanks for the reactions :D

Congrats for the 'student' bike. Very, very impressive.

I would keep it the way it is too.
